Found this on sale at a hobby shop early Saturday morning last Nov. 17. My son was instantly in love with it, so I got for him as an early Christmas present.

My son was enjoying it for the past few hours when suddenly the cannon stopped recoiling. So Dad got the itchy fingers in action once again!

After careful disassembly and search for the faulty part, I found one of the gears to be at fault and was cracked.


A 10-teeth gear had crack and was spinning around its shaft and would not pull the barrel back.

Time to open the old toy box and the search for a similar gear was on!

Often times its good to be a pack-rat.. I found a similar gear from a simple battery operated toy. Got it out and gently inserted it to the shaft of the recoil box.

Finally found time to make a video as my son is in school.

Previously the problem was when I press the "Fire" button the cannon led would lit up but the cannon did not recoil and would not fire either, and I could hear the motor just kept on whining.
