No news is good news.
Still haven't had a successful takeoff or handlaunch but the winds have been non supportive.
ie, thermal winds that shift 180 degrees just as you start your run. (##@!!!#%!)
I guess if I'd been in a hurry, I should have gotten the Durafly while it was $79. Then spin up would have been no problem.

No , the spin up for small models is a fake. True auto pilots spin up the rotors naturally...

What do they do when the runway is a clearing in the pines running north south, the wind is always east west and the grassy sides are too rough to use?

PS the durafly spinup looks pretty good in the vids.
