That part aside, the P4 PRO looks excellent. Those of us clamoring for better image quality in the Phantom package ought to be satisfied now. Finally, a reason to upgrade from P3 Pro.

with you there, I'm VERY tempted too tbh

Why oh why could they not have made this in that gorgeous Inspire 2 color... Or even Mavic grey.

I do not think it means none of these features. It means android will now have better support. Even on DJI's end.

Seriously though I like what has happened here, there is now a very significant gap between the P4Pro and Mavic so there is a good argument for having both, to get the portability when you need it, or the excellent camera when the size is less of an issue.

Ouch on the battery prices though

Only thing I can guess - is that there is not a real advantage at this point. Anything DJI adds to take advantage of the tablet can also be done with a separate tablet or phone.

BUT, remember - a non-cellular apple tablet may not have GPS...so you lose that ability, right??

It's not like the non-tablet version is designed for a lesser market.....more like three things, IMHO.

1. Apple is really going to be a big seller of these - and they like people using their devices.
2. Some need and like very large tablets
3. DJI wanted to provide a "reference" platform....so the variable of different devices could be taken out of the picture
