Pixhawk is installed in the front of the peeper, the center of gravity is where battery is.
In my case, I didn't adjust Pixhawk settings. |

Thanks, seems that the Tarot controller is able to ajust it but don't know if Pixhawk can do that, the ideal position is to put the controller in the center of gravity but the battery don't allow it, one option could be to put it in a case under the frame or under the battery.

its not the centre of gravity the controller needs to be, but as close to the centre of the 4 motors and as close to the horizonal plane as the motors. i think centre of gravity would be in the centre of the 4 motors once everything is mounted (controller and camera at the front). from what i can see, the front arms are shorter than the back. so the centre of gavity would not be were the arms would cross in the middle but back a bit. so this puts the pixhawk way in front of the centre. this for gyros it dont matter because the angle is the same were ever you put it, but accel its a different story. this is a new concept for me having the contoller way out there. there must be thread covering this topic. i have been looking for a enduro setup for small payload. so, so far my intrest has be sparked. peeper? sounds a little creepy i think, well i am a creepy looking guy. |

The ideal position is of course at the centre of gravity. And not only the FC but the GPS as well.
The theory is , when the drone is shaking, the position of the CG is not affected. But if you place the FC and GPS, say on one the end of the arms -for the extreme illustration's sake-, the FC position will be changed vertically and horizontally. If the barometric sensor is so sensitive, it will think that the drone is moving up and down when it shakes/wobble. But of course, it is does not really affect in real life, unless you are a perfectionist. |
