Peeper Price hig for just an 'unflexible 'build
For months, the price for a Peeper had put me off.... that and not much detail about 'buildability' or real world performance....
So... price wise.... by far https://www.xt-xinte.com/Tarot-Peepe...S-p140757.html was the cheapest I found and that's where I bought mine. $551.08 was a easier to swallow than any other offering (~$650-$780 from most vendors) If you subtract out the cost of the include parts.... 2x blade sets at ~$78 4x TL2955 motors (Tarot Martin 4008's) $30 each 4x tarot 40A escs at ~ $24 each is roughly ~$400. That makes the aluminum arms (which are easily light weight and REAL strong) motor mounts, pivots, legs and chassis worth around $150. Not bad for a 750mm size quad. My problem(s) though so far.... mounting normal Pixhawk and ancillaries (recvr, osd, 915mhz telem module etc).. first thing that got trashed was the oem electronics. (a joke!... by spec can't even handle the four oem Tarot motors) with no power tap for the Pixhawk.... I gutted the rear electronics completely and removed the innards of the front box and installed the a normal Pixhawk power block and X4 spider of motor power wires into that box (with a few spare power feeds for add ons). Second issue, oem GPS mount is bad...nothing to keep it from rotating. So I ended up vacuum forming my own canopy that would clear all my goodies inside. Current build is a Pixhawk 2.1 on the chassis with a Here GPS mounted on top the canopy PX2.1, Frsky X8R, telemetry converter, 250mW vid xmtr, minimosd boards are all under the canopy more coming as my build proceeds |

From the picsQuote:
Floding props need to be loose enough to self correct, yet tight enough to not freely move. Initial power up will vibe, then smooth out right away as you start to accell to lift off. If not smoothed before lift off... DON"T...striaghtne out the blades ptegler |
