Airtronics sd5g

Hey guys! I have an airtronics sd5g with two rx600 receivers. I have had some issues with signal loss such as when flying with a friend with another 2.4ghz transmitter, when getting too far away, as well as when flying at the soccer field behind my house. It scares the living daylights out of me. My antennas stick out under the wing in opposite directions. Can someone else tell me what they think of this transmitter. I have seen almost nothing about it on the internet, and i have never heard of another person using one. I paid 120$ for it and i feel like i got ripped off. I could have bought a spektrum , frsky taranis, turnigy 9xr, etc. Should i keep this transmitter or replace it? It feels great in my hand and it looks nice. It has great sticks, but few features and i feel like i cant rely on it to fly my planes. Thanks in advance! And just in case it helps i fly an ares gamma 370.
