Why not buying better ESCs and motors? A 3s CG035 is a whole lot more fun than replacing parts and keep throwing money at it without any progress.

what do you mean for 3s cg035 is it "latest black one with optical flow"?

No convert the Aosenma to run on 3s batteries. instead of buying the standard 2s ESCs and motors.

I hear a lot of talking about the black CG035, but I don't see any good results. I wouldn't buy it!

The CG035 runs just fine on 2S... It's not really intended to "punch"...

If you want to fly like that, there are much cheaper racing quads for less than $120 that come up from time to time RTF. Most are 3S, even 4S - You can run them in angle mode too if you like, but they are a real buzz to fly.

They are far more durable and will withstand a few crashes, but don't make such nice camera platforms.

David.

The CG035 is equipped with voltage regulators, the question is what the max. voltage is they can handle. Assumably a lot more than 8.4v.

As for "the CG035" isn't designed to punch"... why not? Sure, the plastic cover doesn't like crashes and neither does the electronics, but a carbon frame isn't very expensive. The carbon frame I bought is large enough to hold 2 stock batteries! (without plastic cases of course.)

So everyone finally gave up on this quadcopter? Probably for the best. RIP CG035!

No, we never give up.
Maybe flying season is over (at least strongly reduced) here at northern hemisphere?

CJ7hawk designed lightweight gimbal/brush servo/F3 flight controller -- (17)

Further to Post #1787, trying to find the best matching of rubber damper, gimbal flight controller PID for roll & pitch and servo voltage.
Current rubber damper & servo voltage are attached photos.

A. FireFly Q6 Gyro OFF, F/C PID 100/90/80
Nov 15 Q6 OFF 3 41v 100 90 80 (2 min 51 sec)

B. FireFly Q6 Gyro OFF, F/C PID 100/20/20
Nov 15 Q6 OFF 3 41v 100 20 20 (1 min 58 sec)

C. FireFly Q6 Gyro ON, F/C PID 100/20/20
Nov 15 Q6 ON 3 41v 100 20 20 (2 min 36 sec)

Camera Gyro OFF (Stabilization off) shows vibration and Gyro ON reduces the vibration but too much wavy movement at 4 corners.
Need further try to find best matching position.

In the meantime, it is 642 flights today after replacing 3 ESCs in Early April.
At that time 4 motors did not rotate properly so changed 3 ESCs (no change on motors).
Since then no problem. Actually I changed one ESC in Early July (itís 338 flights after the replacement of 2nd ESC).

CG035 has problems but once fixed, it is very reliable so far.

I never use auto take off after flip back accident which was caused by faulty ESC which can not rotate 4 motors properly.
So, I use manual take off. Some time I found one or two motors did not rotate when unlocked.
Then locked and unlock again until 4 motors rotate properly.
Now I can take off.
With this procedure, no take off accident.
