Little story :

This WLotys 10428 is the big brother of the Wltoys 12428. Excepted that they look same it is the only comparison we can do. 10428 is bigger with lot of more spec. WLtoys 10428 is same as WLtoys K949 and A333. It is also a copy of the Vaterra twin hammer. When some people say that Wltoys 12428 is a twin hammer i answer no, the 10428 is a twin hammer.

- Adjustable tie rods.
- Hub carrier is held by two axles blocked with grub screws.
- Hing pin : 42.8 x 3 mm

Electronic :

See details in my unboxing video.

First thought :

- Wltoys must take care of the building of their car, a missing ball bearing in gearings housing can do lot of damage on gearing.
- Other than that car is well built.
- Pretty good material on transmission.
- Rear center cvd,on the gearings housing side, isn't well centered, its inside diameter is bigger than the gearbox axle's diameter.
- Good radio with many parameters.
- 2 speeds in gearing housing is a nice thing for a crawler.
- Shocks need some settings.
- I added oil in diff. and grease on spur gear diff.
- 8 screws to open the body shell (10 to totally remove it ), can be annoying to access the chassis.
- Big compared to an 1/10 buggy.
- As for WLtoys 12428 i like its funny color.

Videos :

Speed test :

• WLtoys - Wild Warrior Truck - 10428 - Speet test • (20 min 24 sec)

- Going at fast speed isn't so important for crawling, but it is still interesting to know.
- About off-road sequence, i must set reverse power.
- Works pretty nice and has good crawling capacity.

Feel free to ask any questions

More to come , stay tuned

It's the same thing as the K949 (aka Twin Hammers Clone) that's still available here:

http://www.tinydeal.com/wltoys-k949-...-p-151798.html

Looks like new colored plastic and led lights are the only changes made.

Yes, it is same as WLtoys K949, A333 and Twin hammer.

Is it exactly the same or subtle differences like between the FY03 and 12428?

12428 and Feiyue are 1/12, this one is 1/10 and bigger than a 1/10 buggy. Its transmission has 2 speeds. We can say that 10428 is the big brother of the 12428.

Otherwise it is compatible with twin hammer parts. K949, A333 and 10428 are differents kind of finition, color.

10428 doesn't have led light.

Oh, the title of the ad page says it does, but I didn't look any deeper than that.

In any event theses are great trucks. I have two of the k949s. Well built and every after market part swaps in well minus a bearing size here and there.

What I mean is if you compare the 12428 and FY03 there are slight differences like slipper clutch motor size etc

Are there also differences between the larger 1/10 versions or are they more or less the same?

What i mean with this sentence is that they are identicals, just an aesthetic difference . I don't own a twin hammer but twin hammer must have better material quality i think, not the same price also.

How's the transmitter? I had the other Tx from WL and it has big deadzone in the middle. I have to twist the wheel from centre a lot to get the steering registered. Which makes it almost impossible to drive with precision.

Hello, is this model waterproof? I don't see any "waterproof" logo printed on the box. TQ
