Is this the same pic that started the frenzy on the Durafly thread?

Called it. Stuart, do I get a review sample? Oh, and Donodo wants his $20, lads. Cheesemeister, are you there? ;^)

Althoug I'm happy to see a new Axis bird from DF, I'll probably pass on this one... I already have two Me109:

- PZ Me109 G
- Ripmax balsa 1200mm Me109E, which I did In the exact paint scheme posted above.

I'm sure this new one will be miles ahead in terms of scale and finish but prefer to save money for a Dora or a TA152.

Also I'm less and less attracted to 1100 mm planes, they are too big to be called small and too small to be called big, I'm now leaning towards the 1200-1300 mm range which have way much presence in the air and can use same 4S setup than the latest heaviest 1100 mm OTOH the 980mm-1000mm range is there when smaller is needed.

Only down side of the 1200mm range is that I probably can take 2 or 3 at a time in the car, so the first manufacturer that will come with a quick snap on/off plug in/off system that could allow the wing to be remove and reinstalled in a second on a 1200-1300mm plane will make big money for sure

I agree, I like my warbirds from 1400mm upwards but after the Durafly Spitfire Mk5 it's a game changer...
The Flightline Ta-152 is the same scale as the 1100 birds but with a little longer wing as it should and is tiny in the air but when Stuart & co at DF make the 109 it'll be the same if not better quality than their Spit. I just hope they do the 109 is various schemes!

dont speak too soon, this is just based off the same photo. there isn't any other proof yet. also Stuart said we needed to be more open minded which makes it unlikely that it is a 109. they haven't announced anything yet! dont you think it a bit premature to make a thread for it?

in Stuarts words:

'Perspectives, camera angles, lens distortions etc etc can convince you its something it is not, so keep an open mind gents'

this implies it isn't a 109 or a spitfire.... so i think maybe close the thread until something is announced. there are already 2 speculation threads....

It's only money & foam...

A Priller version is long overdue imo. Let's hope ANY 109 rumors are true. Time will tell as always....

Well if it's based on the same photo we've been speculating over then I retract my enthusiasm. For now. And yeah, that in-flight pic is obviously one of the real thing.

Can you/should you close this thread, RCBandit?

Cheesy, I agree with your comments and have been racking my brain but can't come up with a better match than an MGFF barrel.

I've been looking at pitot tubes more now. found a few close ones but none quite match, like the gloster meteor, Arado 234 and the hawker hunter....

You know, I'm willing to forget the $20 if I was picked to review the new DF 109E that HK will be announcing soon. It's high time to let an average flyer (or less than in my case) do a review!
