Do the blue eyes light up at all when you connect bat? Only reason I ask is because mine would flash several times then go out, hooked it up to MP (btw, no problem connecting via USB or telemetry) and no sats connected took it apart and checked gps module connections and found that the wires were routed underneath the fastener bar and a few pinched between bar & module. I routed the harness outside of the fastener bar. Now I get sat lock (solid blue eyes) within 30 sec. Unfortunately mine is too unstable to fly in gps loiter and I'll either pass it on with warts noted or maybe find a deal on a Pix4 and do a transplant. Btw I noticed in your screeny that data rate was set at 9600, it should be 57600 for telemetry & 115200 for USB |

I've performed all the calibrations twice within MP, used beer bottles to level and it was successful both times. It flies pretty damn good in stability mode which makes me suspect a defective gps, compass or the FC itself. I noted in an earlier post that this is my first experience with an apm based quad and while I've read and followed the ardupilot wiki when doing calibrations in MP it's very possible I've missed something Btw, I've not tried to update fw or changed any parameters in MP. |

Seems like the GPS isn't working but I can't be 100% sure. A new FC might be in order. I will be interested in anyone that has experience with that. |

Q1- What is the proper craft type to choose for the e350.......the standard quad shape with standard prop directions or the quad depicted with shorter front arms and longer rear arms (like the e350)? Q2- is the Globalfly FC/ compass unit considered 'external '? I'm just trying to narrow my problems with this craft to hardware, software or user error Thanks. |

Today I was able to lock onto 8 Satts so the GPS must be working. Also was able to get telemetry via USB cable and via radio link.
The final problem is the battery monitor. Can someone post the values for the battery params are? See the attached screenshot for details |

The compass is external, it's the little black box on top of the FC. |

I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on this one.
Hey guys, I've been looking at this one for a while, watching a lot of YT vids and reading a lot in this thread. I think I'm about ready to order one as my next project quad. Right now, it seems like Amazon is the only source. And, the vendor doesn't say whether his has left or right hand throttle. And, even though it's listed as having the telemetry set up, it's not shown in the pics that way. Does anyone here know of a source that has this quad in stock? Banggood appears to be out, as does AliExpress.

But, I'll warn you, these are not RFT in my opinion. I've had a heck of a time getting mine in the air and only now, after about a month, is it actually flying. If you don't mind tinkering then this might be OK. But if you're looking for easy to fly out of the box I don't think this is what you're looking for. |

Mikel has stated on some other threads that he owns a Solo, therefore he's familiar with MP and would be more prepared to troubleshoot just the craft IF his happens to be 'difficult'. I might pass mine on eventually but I'm determined to find the fault whether that be me or the craft |

Not sure about that; my mode 2 E350 transmitter does have a spring to center the pitch/roll stick but the throttle stick doesn't (eventhough the quad has altiude hold)

I believe someone on another thread talked about moving the spring over to the right stick and being able to switch to Mode 1. It's interesting that there are buttons on the RC for mode 1 or mode 2. I've never tried using them and am not sure they are even attached to anything.

From what I have gone through to get things working I believe that you need good firmware and the right parameter file. For me the modified Cheerson firmware that I posted has worked the best. I also used the "standard parameter" file that someone posted on another thread. I found that APM Planner was better for updating firmware and parameters than MP. For some reason MP wants to automate the firmware update and makes it hard if not impossible to load custom firmware or parameter files. |
