Is that on 3s? And a gws or gws clone 10x6

On 3s at 66% or so of Kv*V that is about 9,300 rpm and 270 watts 1165 grams thrust 27041 is 6.6 so it is dissipating about 6.6 grams per watt. I'm assuming it weighs 41 grams? And is the one like brother hobby sells? Tmotor also makes a f90 1300kv

Well out of curiosity I ordered a tmotor f90 1300kv . Just to beat up on the test bench and see how long one will last pushing over 300 watts and find out what % of Kv*V it will turn a 10" prop on 3s. I'm thinking it wont live long at 300+ watts. But I may be wrong I'm open to finding better alternatives.

They have pretty hefty claims of being able to handle over 1000 watts . If it survise 300+ for a few minutes then I will go ahead and throw a 1000 watts at it

Low weight setup, 573g without battery!

I have not maiden yet but tried to hoover a little in the living room, I might want a 11” prop for my type of flight. About 3/4 throttle to hoover..

But if you don’t fly so much 3D it probably will be a nice plane with this motor and 10” prop

Sounds like the light weight setup I tried with the thrust 10. And light weight 100 gram batteries.

It's just for fun, must try ! Must fix my watt meter so I can meassure the volt, amp and watt on 10" and 11" prop.
Hoovers better on 11" but the motor gets quite warm.. 5/8 throttle

Okay, update

Fully charged 3s 1400mAh 40c
Peak 377W, 33A
Voltage drops from 12.45v to 11.2v at full throttle, motor gets a bit warm.
This is with a 11x5 wood prop

Well my Skywing 38" edge arrived . I about have it together. Waiting on servos. So I threw it on the scale along with 4 emax es08ma ii servos . With the 2216 and 30a esc installed and a 4s 1200ma pack that weighs 135g It weighing 670g or so. That's considerably lighter than my FM 38" edge was

Sweet!
What does the plane weight just by itself? Without prop, esc...

My FM 540 was 400g before I started mounting anything else.

Not sure I never weighed it without anything

But Northwest lists it as 24-28 ounces depending on battery and they suggest a 1300ma-1800ma 3s. So 24ounces is 680g and 28 is like 738g so it's fairly correct.

Also I'm going to use mks ds6100 servos not sure what they weigh? Specs say 9.5g but sometimes specs are wrong. Emax es08ma ii weigh 13g.

Ok just weighed it without any electronics but with the motor and it is 440g with the motor. So subtract about 75 grams or so and the airframe weighs about 365g . That's the complete airframe ready for electronics with pushrods , control horns ect... these would be the airframe to use for a lightweight build. With right setup I can see these hitting the 600-620 gram auw ready to take off

The skywing is probably the best choice.. Our agent in Sweden doesn’t get in any new models and the opportunity to buy from the EU is poor..

If this motor is too poor in performance I have a new motor laying around

Well finally got around to testing the T-motor f90 1300kv

It actually measured 1277kv

With the future model carbon fiber 10" prop at 11.42v (3.81v per cell) it is 38.8a, 443 watts at 8622 rpm. At 11.03v it is 33.2a, 366 watts and 7868 rpm.

The sunnsky 2216 880kv v3 motor measured 877kv and with the future model prop 15.32v (3.82v per cell) 31a, 475 watts and 9325 rpm. It took a bit to get the battery down to 15.32v so I took some snap shots at 15.51v it was 33.1a, 514 watts and 9514 rpm. Sunnysky definitely running alot cooler.

Sunnysky was at 69% of Kv*v and the tmotor was at 59% of Kv*V .

Maiden done!
I like the motor,, enough power! must laborate with different type of props now.. Flew with FM 11x4.5 SF prop that came with the kit, going to try 11x5 woodprop and 10x6 woodprop, also the GWS 10x6

Okay.. so I’ve tried 11x6, 11x5, 10x8 wood and 10x6 GWS... And 11x6 is the most fun!! But i’ts only fun for like 30sek and then it aint the same kick(probably the lower voltage).. best prop so far for this motor is 10x6 GWS,

But this plane needs a 11x6/7 to be a real 3D monster! Think I need to find another motor..
