H8 Mini Green / H101 / H8S - CLK & DAT Hidden Trace
Hi Guys and Gals,
Here is my simple guide to rescue those who had their H8 Mini Green Board and H101/H8S Board CLK & DAT pad broken due to some unforeseen reason like myself. Don't do this process if you rushing as this may be your last chance to salvage this board unless you want to solder directly to the MCU. Tools Required 1. Fine Tip Solder Iron 2. Solder Iron Tin and Flux 3. Magnifying Glass (optional) 4. 0.38mm Enamelled Wire or any thin wires you may have 5. Hobby or pen knife 6. Lots of patience and time An overview of the GigaDevice GD32F130 Pinout Identify the Hidden CLK & DAT Traces H8 Mini Green Board [ H101 / H8S Mini CLK H101 / H8S Mini DAT – This DAT trace is just below the letter T is untested and verified. If anyone of you did try it, do let me know the result. Thanks! [ H8 Mini Blue Board – This H8 Mini Blue board hidden traces are untested and verified. If anyone of you did try it, do let me know the result. Thanks! The Operation Theater 1. Scrapped away those hidden trace carefully as required either CLK or DAT or both. Apply some solder flux on the trace and tin it with your solder tin. H8 Mini Green Board H101 / H8S Mini CLK 2. Prepare the 0.38mm enamelled wire with solder tin and make sure the exposed part is not longer than the scrapped hidden trace to avoid shorting. Solder the wire to the now exposed trace. H8 Mini Green Board H101 / H8S Mini CLK Once you're satisfied with the outcome, put some hot glue to it to avoid breaking this trace in the future for another unknown reason. I would like say a big thank you to @silverxxx for his great effort in making this acro firmware possible! Cheers! |

May I download these pictures and upload to the Wiki?
To be complete: Where to get DAT for H101? Is there such stuff for other boards, too? Where? Maybe someone adds something like that to his favourites in the browser - I did't so far but think I should |

I didn't managed to strip my DAT pad for H101 yet and I don't think anyone else did too. I could be wrong but is what I have so far. I didn't notice other boards facing the same stripped pad so far. I will update this blog again once I have more new information. |

Have you ever tried to use one of these boards with a HEXFET added at the motor output connection to boost the current drive for a much larger brushed motor ? The idea would be to connect the FET to the ground connection , feed it thru a 1K ohm resistor and use the free lead and a ground to drive the motor directly . I thought to use these cheap boards as the FC for a much larger model is all . Whatcha think ?
