Well interesting ... the TX02 is still listed as a "Black Friday Sale" but price is now $25.99. Looks like we got a really good deal .. at least those who ordered which I did. Don't need it really but just couldn't resist for that price.

The difference is that it is PROMO price and you cannot use any points/discount codes. So the price for TX02 is $17.99 and not lower.

Some people won't have VIP and nobody can use a coupon with TX01, either - so the higher transmit power is more worthwhile unless one has a lot of points they need to use right away -or if they just don't want more range.

And now TX03 for $17.99 with some new features, but also on Preorder/Promo - still no points/codes but maybe the best value until it hits 1000 orders.

V1 uses BusiBee BB1 chipset (24Mhz speed) and V2 uses BB2 chipset (48 Mhz).

A citation from https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...Smooth-as-Silk :
"BLHeli_S delivers a throttle response that is Smooth as Silk, and the main factor contributing to this, is that it uses hardware to generate motor PWM. Two MCUs support this for BLHeli_S, namely the BusyBee1 at 24MHz (EFM8BB10F8) and the BusyBee2 at 48MHz (EFM8BB21F16)."

You can use Racerstar 20A V1 on almost any quadcopter if your battery/motor power combination is within 20Amps power rating. It is good to have 20-30% amps backup. What motors do you have?

Also have in mind that these ESC's dont have BEC, so will not power your FC, you'll need separate BEC.
