Question
I have a motor, esc and props and want to make a flying wing or delta
I would like to make a flying wing or a delta wing, I have made a few of the FT planes in the past. Does anyone have planes / sizes for a wing or delta wing which would suit this motor
https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html a 60amp esc and any prop from about 7" to 12". I have 6 sheets of A1 Westfoamboard. Its more something to do when im charging or its raining its doesn't have to be fantastic. |

You could do it as simply as this :
Or a LITTLE more complicated :

That looks like a powerful motor you got there.
you will need something bigger that the FT models. you can try scaling up the model to match the power of your motor and use the calculator (check the Link below) for the CG. Here is a flying wing that can fit your motor... it recommends a 9 x7.5 prop but you can use a 10x6 with similar results. With your motor this wing will handle the extra weight of a Gopro and extra gear without a problem. here is the Link: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1823772 He has a link for the calculations but you can try this one too. (Its the one I've used for my wing project http://rcwingcog.a0001.net/ Good Luck with your project. |

Your motor is better suited for a tractor configuration than a pusher. It'll work very well on my Fantastik if you are interested in a 4ch trainer.

With a motor that powerful, a big KFm "V"wing will do the job,
or the latest flitetest wing they are trialing.... something going towards a 60" will be ok.. like this https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMy...YcGhDD_xzh-yVg build thread... http://fpv.no/vbulletin/showthread.p...-KFm-Airfoil#2 if you want a delta.... scale this up.... https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=977954... going up toward a 50" span... my 38" version was flying on a 150W motor where yours is nearer 500W a lovely flier but a bit noisy with the prop in slot setup.... the motor can always go to the front for a quieter model.. |
