Question

Spitfire/ P-51D UMS, 3AXG, RTF.. What is this?

Long time no see...

I have been busy, to busy to have fun, it sucked.

But i just found some new (for me) Planes, they are sold under the name "AIRNOX" in Sweden, but i cant find them anywhere else...
Manufacturer are Shanghai Merit Technonogy Corp... Never Heard of them.
http://www.meritrc.com/en/index.aspx These planes are NOT on their website.

I Got A great price on 2 RTF, 2.4Ghz, "3AXG" (3-axis gyro stabilizied), Warbirds, A Spitfire and a P-51D(100$ for 2 sets, complete with 2 Tx´s).
Its a Swedish Hobby shops 55 year anniversary, so they had a 55% discount..

Both Planes are Micro, Wingspan 420 mm, weight RTF 54 grams.
1 cell 200mAh Lipo, a nice Tx,

Anyone tried one? Its rainy and windy here, but Sunday looks nice...

The Mustang flew nice in very slight winds this morning!
Flew with 2 batteries, only needed slight trim adjustments, 200mAh gave a flight time of app 6mins mixed flying, full throttle and relaxed flying.
Might just bring the Spitfire out soon, charging my batteries now, will bring my old 190mAh Miniaviations too as the planes uses same connectors as Parkzone!

Just back from flying the Spitfire in windy conditions, also flew my HZ Champ for comparison.
The 3AXG gyro works well, the Champ was a bit of a handful, but the Spit was easy to fly.
The Spit is a bit smaller and heavier than the Champ, it also helps fighting the wind.
Both planes flew using my old 190mAh Miniaviation lipos.

Seems to be from the same manufacturers as The Dromida brand?
Link to Dromida thread https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=2739972
Tx is same, but with different stickers, same switches, and so on.

They fly well, not over powered, but enough to lift of from my car roof!

Looks like the guy who flew his Spitfire in the Youtube broke his...
Here is a Tube where he fixes it!

Gives you a nice view, Close up on the Spit, and oh yeah, the wing is mounted with a tab in front and magnets at the back wich gives acess to the board and servos (real servos that cant be destroyed by a grain of sand Like the open gear, sucky ones on my Kyosho and Hobbyzone Planes can be)...

Airnox Spitfire RTF 4CH Gyro - Repair and control surfaces overview. (2 min 42 sec)

My planes are still in perfect shape after like 10 flights each

Tx dip switches

Hi!
Today I noticed the dip switches on the tx under the power switch.
Anyone try if d/r works or know what the different mixes do?

Hej Uffe!

Some info in this Review: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=2739972

And then just try them, the first 4 are for servo reversing, then a couple of mixes an Dual Rates that possibly will give you slightly larger Control throws, but I didnt see that on mine.
A better way to get larger contro throws are to move the linkages at the servos or the Control horns.
Just try the switches and avoid flying with Mix2...

Spit, my favourite( i have the P-51 also, but not the Zero).
Hitec Weekender 4CH SPITFIRE 3G Review (日本語レビュー (4 min 22 sec)

So is there a thread on these Multiplex/Hitec Micros?

UMS Zero RTF

Hi,

I recently purchased the UMS Zero after finding this thread topic. I've got most of the UMX allied warbird collection and have been trying to find a axis warbird for a nice change!

Well it finally arrived and I wasn't disappointed! The Zero has a nice appearance with panel line detail. The transmitter is toy grade but does the job. I've flown the Zero in mild wind & it handled well, flying it on a calm mornings is very satisfying and looks great in the sky!
