(2) It does also come with a USB cable if you'd like to hardwire to your PC I just went with the SD card for the sake of convenience. |

Thats all Ive been printing with and I havent seen any of my prints come out warped, even after cooling down. If you wanna see more examples of prints there is a facebook group setup for users you can find here - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1068531466501015/

My Macs had issues with the supplied driver. Repetier Host is a free download - BUT if you want any support from them - you have to make a us$10 "donation". Through a Facebook group I eventually had a guy who not only gave me a link to a more up to date driver - but also walked me through its installation and removal of the old driver. Repetier also seems to have issues with WIndows 10 - as do other applications - but I don't have it so I don't know the real details. WIn7 seems devoid of issues and works OK - I am told. During assembly DO NOT over tighten any screws - it could crack the acrylic frame. Common problems are bad threads on the z drive rods, a 20 amp PSU that most seems to ditch and use either a PSU from a PC or from a computer supplies outlet. If you are buying a printer - get on eBay and order a couple of Mosfets - they help protect the mother board. many use two PSU and have the hotbed on a separate supply. Take your time over building the frame - it will take 4 - 10 hours depending on any issues that crop up and you ability to deal with out of date videos and the included step by step PDF. DO NOT use the old GearBest youTube video - search fro ANET A8 assembly on youTube. BangGood have a better after sales support - although its not perfect - they do respond within 48 hours and refunds are to your source of payment. Notify any issues you find in the build as they occur with a short video and photos. ADD into your email that there may be more issues and ask they accept you cannot proceed with new parts being sent and any issues which are found after will be notified and ask them to confirm that. They did with me for some really poor quality Z ( worm) drive rods and bad threads in the two brass T bearings. Obviously with the printer being functional without them...I could not check anything else. BG may be higher in price - contact support and tell them where you can get it at a lower price and ask ask for a price match, however its may be an offer and counter offer rather than a simply OK. |
