It sounds like NEAT will become the "3D fair" as the speed and grace of electric is replaced by the "wnabe" helicopter pilots.

Common guys - lets keep the "real" planes alive.

See you there . . . .

Some of us guys that fly CD-ROMS (the cheap 3-D'er motor) still believe in the need for speed. I just did a design that is a little speed demon "15" wingspan" that just blows away any other "fast" CD-ROM planes. It also uses inexpensive equipment. Jeffrey owner JGRC took both prototype with him up to NEAT. Here is a picture of "slow" brother, of the new one Unfortunately I did not get any pics of the new one. Go to JGRC booth and ask Jeff to show you something that uses an inexpensive CD-ROM motor and is FAST. With 13 turn on 2 cells, it is the first plane that I have made that is FAST and with unlimited vertical. It is no F5B , but it is something that you can keep in the car, fly at lunch with no worries, and make a soccer field feel like a REALLY tight place to fly in.

As far as the last weather report showed Ivan will follow the coast up and out to sea without hitting the north east straight on, just the possibility of a little rain. But at last years NEAT fair there was rain at times but that is when everyone would go into the tents and but stuff!
