BrotherHobby Tornado and Returner series motor

Both Tornado and Returner series motors are from BrotherHobby.
For BrotherHobby Tornado motors, there are 1306,1407,1608,1806,2205,2206,2406 model.
For BrotherHobby Returner motors, there are 2204,2205,2206,2208 model,we will also add 1306 and 1407 to this series soon.
So what's the difference.
Stator: Returner is with 0.2mm laminations (silicon steel sheet )and Tornado is with 0.15mm aminations
Bell cap: Returner is with 6063 Aluminium Alloy and Tornado is 7075 Aluminium Alloy
Magnet:All of them are arc N52H,but the thickness of Magnet is different.

Speak of Magnet thickness, people may be confused,is it better with thicker or thinner?
We made lot of experiments for this
Let take Tornado 2205 motor for example, the magnet thickness is 2mm,we also make 1.5mm,1.6mm, 1.7mm,1.8mm and 1.9mm samples for technical reference. We get the result 1.8mm is most suitable.
Take Returner 2205 motor for example, the final magnet thickness is 1.55mm,we also made 1.4mm,1.5mm,1.6mm samples for technical reference.
Because the stator of Tornado is 0.15mm laminations,so the most appropriate Magnet thickness is different from 0.2mm laminations

We also get the best Magnet thickness for other Tornado motors like 1306 ect with test compare,1.4mm is the one.

By the way,The first batch of Tornado T2 2206 motor will release and ship out to our dealers soon.

Returner R4 2206 motor are on samples test phase,it is titanium alloy hollow shaft with very very light weight as 2206 motors, and will try ceramics bearing.we also improve the magnet fixture again, and ....
Talk more details next time.

Please follow up,will update our new plan.Hope this place belong to us for discuss.

Any chance you could guess at the date for the returner R4 2206? A week? A month? Longer? I love my zmxv3's and would really like my next build to have something similar.

The body case and hollow titanium alloy shaft of Returner R4 2206 have been finished,we are making a compare with different winding and magnet thickness to get a best one.
And also will try with ceramics bearing for Durability test.

BRAVO BrotherHobby! I have been using some ZMX v3 motors and really liked them. With all of the dust-up with SD, I researched and got interested in your Tornado T1 motors. I decided to try a set out. I put them on one of my heaviest 5" quads and tested them out. I AM IMPRESSED! They are some of the smoothest running motors you will ever hear without props. They have tons of torque, don't come down hot even after running them HARD on this tank of a quad. Brother, you have a new customer in me. I look forward to a hollow titanium shaft R4!! wow! I will say this: KEEP MAKING YOUR MOTORS WITH THE NATURAL AL FINISH. 1) It is unique and no other company is doing it, 2) You can EASILY color the motor any color you wish with a Brush Tip Sharpie Pen.
