Does anybody understand what exactly they mean. You can get an firmware update to enable telemetry from the flight controller? If so, where can you download the firmware? En how does one wire the receiver up?

Yes I have tried it, it works great with SBUS. can also do PPM. But not sure about the range, I will use a taranis to see the RSSI signals.

Weird, I've bought two and configured both for SBUS. Neither work. I've confirmed that they both bind to my taranis (D8. light remains steady and flashes when i turn off my radio) but for whatever reason, my FC doesn't recognize them (X4R works fine though so the FC isn't the issue).

I'm at my whit's end with these guys so if anyone has thoughts on what i might be doing wrong, let me know.

Nevermind. Figured it out: I found the inverter on this board.

If you're running a F1 FC without a built in inverter, solder your signal wire directly to this pin:

Check out this thing!!! I bought two from a fellow RCgroups member and love it. Nice signal, easy to set up and does not require an inverter. For Naze32 rev 5 just hook it straight up...

Anyone know how to get telemetry working on the A1 and A2 inputs?

Also, is the DIP switch for setting PPM and SBUS? I connected to a SP Racing F3 via SBUS and regardless of the switch positions I was still getting signal

=\

Did you locate a source for the firmware update? I found this diagram on the Banggood website (I believe you'll need an FTDI board to flash it.)

While Banggood says you can get RSSI via a firmware update, they make no mention of telemetry through the A1 or A2 pins. What's really infuriating is they tell you that you can upgrade it but then fail to provide a link to the required firmware.

Beyond that, the two boards I received work fine in both SBUS and PPM modes when tested with an SP Racing F3 Deluxe and a NAZE32 r5, respectively.
