A7 Corsair Build

Well my good friend and flying buddy decided to get serious about one of his home build designs - an A7-Corsair-II. He gave me one of the early beta kits and I thought that I would share with you!

It will be available as a laser kit and even ARF from EAM hobbies in Lewisville TX (mail order OK!).
See the link under SortA7:
http://www.eam.net/

The cutting has changed since my version, but the jist is still the same! let me know what you think!

Great laser cutting and a very short parts count. Notice the great vacuum formed nose and intake.

Here are the short number of parts (quick build) cut out. Note that the kit now has laser cut "keys" on the formers and fuse sides.

Got lazy with the rest of the build - but here is the completed bird. I choose the US Air Force scheme for this typically Navy bird. Loved the colors! The kit includes a vacuum formed pilot and canopy and canopy kit (seat, headrest etc).

Edwards Air Force scheme.

Let me know what you think!

I should make a note on power system.
S400 7.2v and 3 Lipoly 2100 TP packs. 5x5 Max Zagi type spoon prop DD. Should go very nicely.

Note that one of the 3 prototypes flew on a cd rom motor! Very broad power range, and with that CD rom setup it was very very light.

Packs fit in nose under removeable canopy - very nice and easy to change packs!
