might be interested in some of these cells-heres my problem.

I am new at this-still building my first plane-JK Aerotech T-52 trainer with dymond 480 and D-20 controller. I think these cells would be suitable, maybe 8-cell packs. I would need some good instructions on how to solder packs together. If I can get some good info I will probably take at least 16 cells.

Ross,
Here is a link to a great article about building battery packs. It is what I used when I first started building my own packs, and I have had great success. It is very simple.
Although there are many very nice soldering irons on the market, I used a $10, 40W Craftman iron that I bought from Sears with no trouble.
Other stuff you may want:
- Shrink wrapp is $0.50 per foot at an electronics store
- I use standard wire I bought from Auto Zone
- Battery connector of your choice.
- Strapping tape

Go ahead an give it a shot. You will find it very rewarding and it will save you a little money.
