Noob problems

I just bought an Turnigy SK450 "ARF" as my starter quad to get into the hobby. I am having an issue with the motors spinning at different speeds / not spinning at all. Many people have this same problem but no solutions are found. The nature of the problems implies miscalibrated ESCs, but I think I calibrated them correctly. Would anyone be interested in meeting up to take a look at it? To the educated eye the solution might be a simple misplaced wire. I can provide more details about it when I get home this evening. I live in Corvallis but can drive a few miles as needed. Thanks!

Edit: I tried calibrating them a bunch of different ways and I think I got it. The slow motors are on opposite sides now so all I had to do was adjust for yaw and it basically works. It finally can fly!
