So I bought this, and am having issues. I DID forget to push the stop button before unplugging my flight battery. Does that automatically kill the video? All recent files with it have been unreadable and/or damaged... I have been taking the card out to use in my Runcam during the same outing, and the RC works fine... It's like it's not formatting them correctly or something..

I am using it in planes. The first few flights were good. It's a cool camera in that you don't ever have to worry about charging it. I just plug it into the receiver.. Have not bothered with FPV yet...

Man, I came to really like this little cam. But yesterday I sort of skidded in a bit harshly with my Z-84, and the hatch flew off, pulling the camera's servo plug out. Now the cam appears dead. Nothing visual is damaged that I can see. I took it apart and also saw nothing. I even tried just filming something, thinking maybe the LEDs had died, so I pressed the buttons, etc.., but nothing.... Unfortunatley they don't seem to be available anymore.

Really wish I could still get one of these from a normal source like HK or BG....

So “reflow” means just putting it in the oven?..

more or less. I think some did it with a heat gun. I put my mobius in the oven.

@Herrsavage, for your mobius you can try the oven reflow. You will end up probably (happen to me) kill the microphone (unless you do not unsolder before) but is worth a try.

Of course the board only. Should it be unsuccesful, you can still buy the board only and reuse other compents (lens, case, battery....)

I just got this little HD camera on our local RC swapmeet for $10 bucks not knowing what it really was. I thought it was something like a dashcam for cars.

Now after playing with it, I was gladly amazed it is some sort of Runcam Split but better because you can trigger the recording or photo remotely!

How cool is that?

The video recording is by no means top of the line, but close, very close!

Cheers!

Thanks, so cooking it in the oven kills the audio? If so Id probably just skip it then. Thanks though.

well, most probably (it has happened to me and to other people). You could then replace the audio capsule (you can find pretty cheap ones and solder it, or desolder before oven baking).
