Yeah, glad to see no frames dropped. No biteye camera but very respectable all rounder.
I still need to use it as a primary flight camera as it was just mounted to the Floureon 250 for this test. One thing I still don't fully understand is why a cam/dvr combo has to have more latency than a board camera. If the picture comes from the camera and into the VTX and the DVR at the same time, why does the recording effect it if these are tow separate processes? It seems with correct hardware to handle buffering to the SD card, the cam/VTX shouldn't be hampered because of it. Obviously that's not the case as all setups seem to reduce latency if not recording. I have heard that there is a 720p no latency version of the biteye camera possibly in the works. So real time recording and flying without having to use a low res DVR. |

Looks pretty good, Seby said the light is not great but if you need to save weight it looks good enough.

Nice 25g design and good price but picture is too dark in low light...

I guess you can connect this to your receiver (my radio is a Radiolink AT9 using PWM right now) like this: 1/ Record/snapshot with a ground to an extra channel (say 6) to control it from a radio´s three position switch. 2/ The futaba connector (without the video out wire) to another channel in order to power the camera with 5v. 3/ The NC and the other ground to a spare channel (say 7) operated by a two positions switch. Am I right? And here is the funny question from the newbie: What the is NC??? O_o |

On sale at HK right now.
Do you have to solder a plug to connect it to a VTX? I have for ex. a spare LT200 and XT526(or whatever the stock Eachine Wizard VTX is..) laying around. And if I understood correctly, you need a BEC to Power it from the flight battery? So extra cables etc... I have a little JST BEC, but it seems to me, with a mini quad anyway, you get a lot of cable salad. I recently got the FPV docking station for the Runcam, and also the Turnigy Eclipse, and they are wonderfully simple plug-and-play. The downside of course is that they are a bit big for a mini quad, and difficult to tilt. Great for planes though… I am not an acro or racer ninja warp speed flyer, so latency is less of a concern… |
