What rarely modeled scale waterplanes would you like to see?

Title says it all pretty much but ..whats the scale subject you've had a longing to see.. as an alternative to all the Grumman's and PBY's etc ..not that there's anything wrong with them as subjects its just that there's others that are never or hardly ever seen that would potentially make great models.

Id like to see some of those fabulous large French designs getting a look in as plans or kits. I'm thinking in particular of the Latecoere's
... but there are plenty of others.

I will field some pics links and 3 views if this thread gets your inputs.... lets see what has caught /catches your eye ?

Pick a single motor , a twin and or Multi ..it will be intersting to see where it takes us

A kit of the "Mother Goose", would be nice. It's the Sikorsky VS-44A.
It looks Russian, in a slight way.

You may well be getting to see that one ...Zeke has had his eyes on the VS44 for some time and as he already has produced the the big Boeing as a kit - it should be a very impressive model.
There's is one flying a very large one on the wasserflug forum. it starts around this post and go up a level to the page and the next .. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...postcount=2591

I think Catalina Island should possibly be the Flyingboat equivalent of the Isle of Man to Motor Cycle road racers.

Goon that Yak on floats is one ive never seen before .. five cylinder radial?

I want to do a Dornier DO-24. I've seen a couple of interesting builds, but they were much larger than my shop and I can handle, and very complicated. Something in the 7' - 8' range would be ideal.

Catalina Island is beautiful. It was the perfect spot for these flying boats to operate. Zeke's kit will be outstanding, when it comes out.

Have you seen Barts build? Or is that what you were referring to ... there's a very nice Do 24 on a lot of the Wasserflug videos from a German plan I think.

Triples have a certain charm ... however Im a sucker for push pull set ups again like some of the latecoer's also the Leo H47 and my favorite German design the Do26.

Im having connection problems so loading images is failing ..I will return after they have fixed it....... Done new line from pole to house and life becomes more predictable.

There's quite a few plans and kits of those .. but a big Supermarine Schneider is a a sight to behold the Schuswap lake guys have some impressive pics the earlier versions are less commonly seen.

That is interesting, Bart. It looks like a sea-going DeHavilland DHC-7. Neat video, thanks.

Wish somebody would come out with a kit or short kit to build a nice flying Republic Seabee RC-3. The foam Robbe ARF model flew well but I would be interested in a larger, lightly wing loaded and fully flight tested design with landing gear that could be set in down position for land operation or up for water.

How big E Challenged ?

Bart yes good one but shrinking the whole Blown surface layer design would be a bit of a nightmare lol .....EDFs standing in for the helicopter gas turbine ????

Bart looking at the French designs I was struck by the similarities in shape of the C class and this beasty the late LeO 49 or as it became the SE -Sud Est - 200 it would be great to see but that wing taper would need the Ivan touch to keep it from tip stalling?
