Question

Constant beeping from FrSky XJT module (9xr Pro)

I've recently acquired a Turnigy 9xr Pro along with a FrSky XJT module and X8R receiver. I am able to successfully bind the transmitter to the receiver: after binding and turning off/turning on both devices, the light on the receiver is green and I can control an attached servo.

However, the XJT module beeps *constantly*, and I can't find any information anywhere about what this might mean. This only happens when the transmitter is communicating with the receiver; if I power on the transmitter without powering on the receiver, the module is quiet.

The 9xr Pro is running ERSKY9X 218 (the current version), and is in PXX mode.

I'm hoping someone here can help me sort this out because the beeping is driving me batty. Thanks!

I have the same problem with 9XR. All bound and working with 4xr-sb RX. I assume it is an alarm for the Telemetry but how do you turn it off?

Can i plug it into a mates Taranis and do it that way?

EDIT:

OK, so just found this on youtube. This is what mine is doing. check out the comments for fix.

FrSky D8R II plus beeping alarm (3 min 54 sec)

Well, i have just been putting up with my module beeping while i am flying!
No problems otherwise, just annoying. Tried with a friends Taranis but looks like i need a Telemetry Display to turn the alarm off.
I will just pluck a few more from the money tree in the garden!

Edit: Picked up a Telemetry display, turned all the alarms to zero but it is still beeping! As psposki above, time to desolder the buzzer!

I desoldered the buzzer in the end. Was driving me and everyone nuts haha
Have since got a Taranis to use with my multi rotors and keep the 9XR for my foamies and slope soaring stuff.

As someone said - Hardware solutions are always fixing software problems, so my solution:

It can be receiver voltage warning. Voltage has to be at least 4.0V.

The module is beeping no matter receiver connected or not, receiver sends back telemetry or not(L9R)
