Hi there,

was thinking at the braking issue during landing.
While the EDF's are pretty close to the fuselage, flaps are a no go.

Any ideas how I can brake the best way (MIG15 style?)

I would not write off flaps at all. A segment of the flap inboard of the nacelle and another outboard of it still leaves plenty of room for effective elevons --IMHO of course

There are twin flaps/air brakes at the rear of the underbelly,angled at 15*

To what extent do I have to exclude the wing span covered by the EDFs?
I mean the EDF's take about 2 times 80mm of wing span.
This wing span does not have a nice wing profile, so the effciency will be lower compared to a normal wing without EDFs build in?

Into the calculation of:
Aspect ratio
Wing loading

Do I exclude this 160mm wingspan for these calcs?

Normal aero practice is to include the projection of the wing that passes through nacelles and the fuselage.

The sea dart is crazy !

The FZ5 flies so well with his EDF that I left the see plane idea and went for a double 70mmEDF setup (for now at least, see how far I get with it)

Thanks Herk, makes things easier.

Any thoughts when looking at the planform?
Flap is 100mm length, so i believe it will brake.
Alevons 325mm.

As the wing has 33° sweep, the anhedral of 6 degrees at the wing tip will not harm. Correct ?
Dihedral due to sweep at landing is about 16° -> still 10° positive
Dihedral at speed is about 4° --> -2° negative

So in theory at speed I have no dihedral effect. What are de drawback?
Spiral instability ?

You will have no problems as far as spiral stability with this from what I can see.
Nice looking airplane!
I would make the wing a bit thicker at the root end, those fans are going to put a fair amount of stress on the fuselage wing joint.

Construction wise is not at the order at the moment, first looking for a good planform ..

Some more pictures taken on the runway
A wingtip of only 30mm seems enough for the skids.
Perhaps i ll suck some grass but i believe it' s ok
