Thanks fellas. If the wind ever calms down then I will be able to give her the test fly.

It has come in at 7lb (was hoping for 6 1/2). It is powered by an E-flite Power 46 and running on 2 x 2200mAh 4S Lipos connected in parallel. Unfortunately, despite moving EVERYTHING up to the front of the plane during the build process, it still needs nose weight added!!!! I hate adding weight to any model but I have no choice with this one. Darn short nosed WWI machines!!!

Congratulations John on what looks like a terrific achievement, great to see. Looks as if she's come straight out of 1917. Best wishes for the first flight, no doubt the first of many.

Hurri's looking the goods Ray... and eager to get at 'em!

James: Thanks for the kind words. Very nice of you and yes, I too hope that this one lasts for many, many flights.

Ray: Any progress is good when it comes to warbirds. So glad that the Hurricane is still out on the bench. Should not be too long now before we see her out at the field???

MK XIV Spitfire 60cc

Progressing steadily with the Spitfire .
Fitted the wings this morning to have a look at her fully rigged . ( 95" wingspan )
Very happy with the fit and finish .... Will fit a Desert Aircraft DA-60 up front coupled to a 24X10 Mejzlik prop.
I have a really good feeling about this one.
