Racerstar BR2205 2300KV/2600KV - $7.62 + 6 other colors @ $6.69 & BR2206, 2204, 2403

They appear to be very good budget options, though time will tell. The BR2205's look like Emax RS2205 2300KV clones and a 2600KV variant seems to be in the works.

The 2205s are RCINPOWER motors.

No clue on the rest

The design are a bit different, are you sure those are the same motors?

If so they seem to be very good

the bell looks identical and RCINPOWER even said they were offering custom named motors. IMO they look the same

The bell is different, as is the base.

Yeah, they look nothing like each other - the only similarity I can spot is that they both share the same shape, sort of.

Interesting setup of motors. Want thrust tests!

According to people who posted in another thread, the BR2205 2300KV's come factory balanced and with an aluminum locknut and very smooth bearings. Though an official thrust test is yet to be done, they are also supposedly very efficient. It's quite possible what was said about Racerstar is an ESC thread is true and the company cares more about volume than profit.

If the motor rotation is CCW, then standard locknuts will fit.

These motors are crazy cheap, but not really a big fan of the closed base design. No openings in the bottom means no air pulled through the motor to cool the stator, and just as importantly, especially for noob builders, it means you can't look inside when installing the motor to be sure your base screws don't contact any windings.

I think the KingKong 2205/2300s are a much better deal for entry-level motors at only $3.23 more/set: ($7.92 ea for Qty 3+)

http://www.banggood.com/KINGKONG-220...p-1056209.html

They are designed with proper ventilation, plus you can order 4 CCW motors to use standard m5 locknuts.

Which Racerstar motors are you referring to? the BR2205 2300KV's are advertised as having active cooling and Banggood images show 4 holes in the bottom.
