1/22 Sukhoi Su-34 Fullback (6mm MPF)

Greetings,

I would like to share with you a project I have been working on, a 1/22 scale Sukhoi Su-34 Fullback using 6mm Model Plane Foam. This model is based on the BobAeronorts 5ezp version; however, I have made a number of changes to the method of construction as well as some minor design changes.

You can see all the images here: http://imgur.com/a/ieuJn

I am not the worlds foremost expert on foam construction so you will have to accept that I may construct things an in illogical or seemingly incorrect way.

I took very few if any pictures during construction of this aircraft.

There are a number of fixes I need to make to the blue prints to make them go together better. I had a moment apparently while designing some of the curves and an updated copy of the plans will be provided to BirdofPlay once they are completed.

Blueprint change log:
- Original

Update:
- new cut will look different on the bottom and a few other places.

1/22 Model Sets

Many times, models are built to abstract scales independent of any of your other models. My goal is to build and manage a collection of 1/22 scale models which you can add to your collection. Because they are all at the same scale, they compare well together, fit into a small area, and can be flown almost anywhere. 1/22 is a great scale for a fleet of rc aircraft.

Two more videos from today:

Scaled Foami 1/22 Su-34 Fullback: Day 2a (0 min 13 sec)

Scaled Foami 1/22 Su-34 Fullback: Day2b (0 min 19 sec)

It would appear one of my emax servos choose the worst possible moment to die, and I either stall spun into the ground or barrel rolled into the ground. The plane is ok, she looks a little funny, but she will fly again!

Cant totally blame the servo as it seemed to work before the flight and didn't afterwards. BUT, I am going to blame the servo.

BUT, I was going really slow in the turn too, so anything is possible.

I'll have to teach the big son and the wife how to record longer videos.
