As a fellow who does not know the front end of a boat from the back I would like to thank Graeme for his introduction to RC Sailing !!!
A great afternoon was had with the fellows of the Tarmac Yacht Club .

A little bit about sailing in Toowoomba.


A group (not a club), of mainly retired individuals sail on the lake near the Alderley St. electricity sub-station.

A high embankment which is part of the flood mitigation scheme prevents the lake from being seen from Alderley Street.
Because of the frequent flooding there are no toilets in this reserve.

The council has installed a couple of jetties to make boat launching easier.
The busiest time is from 12 o'clock onwards each Sunday.

Just saw the lake on TV, sure looks different, 10X the size, brown and flowing at 30kts+
