Our Portland club held its first F3K contest of the season today in relatively warm conditions with light lift. I only had about an hour on my new Flitz2 prior to today but was already comfortable enough to fly it in all rounds. I really bonded with this plane today and love the way it performs. Definitely want another one!

Thank you Oleg for bringing these to us,

Oleg, how do you recommend applying the Kapton tape for the two piece wing? A few perpendicular strips, or a long strip along the divide?

A strip along and around the whole divide

You even do this on full size gliders to ensure there is no leakage of the high pressure air on the bottom surface through the gap.

Correct! Just one wrap around the joint.
On mine I used 1/2 inch tape. No signs of any movement in the joint.

Yesterday I flew my Flitz 2 for the first time in competition. Windy and turbulent conditions but with some ballast (I used 40 and 60g in my Light version) she flew great.

An overzealous birch tree decided to jump right in my flight path during a low level save. Fortunately a fellow pilot brought climbing gear and managed to save it unscaved apart from a few small bites in the tail surfaces. I got lucky there!

Just use a speargun. Aim for the bullseye, works every time, and much safer than climbing...

How many points is that outer circle?

Finally got my Flitz2 finished. It is a standard layup, 2-piece wing.

All up weight is 232g. Very pleased with that.

Fits perfectly in the case I have for my Strike2. Might even be able to get both gliders it.

Now if only the UK weather would cooperate for the maiden flight...

Very cool, Paul.
What is that case? Can you post a link to where we can find it.

Nice. Does it seem sturdy enough for checked airline baggage?

Yes it’s strong enough to survive baggage handlers.
Absolutely no damage if the DLG held in by foam blocks or bubble wrap.

Google the brand there might be places not in the uk that have it
