CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!! last year was my first and I was BLOWN away by all of the awesome planes, awesome flying and pretty women.....ok 2 out of three! It was a blast to meet that many plane geeks in one place after flying alone all of the time.

My problem, I refuse to join the AMA in order to fly for 24 hours

I know I'll be there, probably Saturday. From what I remember of last year's flightline, I'll be leaving my planes at home--I'd be too paranoid about a midair without 5 dedicated spotters, if it's anything like last year's zoo. Besides, it's fun to watch others fly (and crash). Doug, I haven't experienced an MM kit yet, so I may just have to stop by your tent.

I'll be there No planes though as I don't have radio that works on US frequencies .

We'll be on holiday in NYC for 10 days so we'll take a few days out to visit the countryside and NEAT (any suggestions for good areas or towns to see in the south-east of the state will be much appreciated).

May manage a day and a half at NEAT, don't know which ones yet though.

My credit card is ready and I'm bringing an empty suitcase to fill with goodies from the vendors - hope my wife doesn't fill it with new shoes before we leave NYC

If you manage it, don't miss Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. It's about 1.5hrs drive from NYC, and is well worth the trip - all kinds of original and restored planes from 1909 to the 1930s. And you can catch a ride in a 1929 New Standard bipe - an amazing experience! Here's the link to their website:

Enjoy your visit to the States! Cheers!

If your gonna be in new york the weekend of sept 11 and sept 12 and thought about going to the rhinebeck aerodrome the above dates are good ones to go.The R/C club i belong too( The Mid-Hudson R/C Society ) hold there WW1 R/C airplane flyin those dates.Incredible scale WW1 models all day long then at 2pm(i think that is the time)the aerodrome hold there show with the real planes. When there done then the models go back up.
R/C planes,Vendors and real ww1 planes ...it is a great weekend.

BTW if you see a guy wearing a hat that says "WarBirds" on the front and "Backer" on the back well then that would be me!!!!
