I'm going to rig up my spoilers to operate with cheek movements like Stephen Hawking.
Or maybe make it so when I twitch my buttocks, spoilers deploy!

Probably won't get to many volunteers for spotters on the flightline!

There are so many ways that could go so horribly wrong...

They are using the HH promo codes and for the Radian XL it's $20. If you ck the link you provided it shows $20 off for the XL. For some of the Carbon models it's $50 and for smaller models it's $10....all use the same "Foam" code.

The USA has no "VAT" or "GST" type taxes.

That is one reason why EU, UK, and AUS customers pay more for everything, including other taxes and charges that are "baked into" the products. They're basically just hidden taxes that your progressive/ liberal/ socialist governments inflict upon you. But you guys get more cradle to grave entitlements.

Just plain ridiculous. Sir.

And we currently have a kind of loophole here in America where mail order stuff we don't pay any sales taxes but who knows how long that will last. Otherwise if a person were to buy a Radian XL in a hobby store they would pay between 0 and 10% in sales tax (depending on the state) and that isn't reflected in the listed price of the item but added at purchase time.

Yeah in NY we are required to still pay sales tax when purchasing stuff from online retailers that are located in different states after a law passed a few years ago, but no one does.

Amazon is the only online retailer that adds NYS sales tax to everything if you live in NY and are ordering from Amazon.

I pay no tax when ordering from HH because they have no physical brick and mortar location/store in NY. they are not required to follow NY state law where they are located.

I pay 8% if I go to my LHS. I think that's why my LHS has really good prices, even compared to sales and specials. Usually stuff is just about 10% or more cheaper there. It makes it a viable option for me sometimes.
If he sells stuff at regular price, I will not buy it there unless I really want it that day. Or I might tell him that I can buy it cheaper online with free shipping no tax, and he will at least match that overall price for me, including the tax I have to pay. If he says no, then I will put the stuff back on the shelf. That only happened once.
