Fly the new Spektrum DX20

If you are attending Joe Nall this year you are in for a treat. Come by the Horizon Hobby and Hanger 9 try-me area and have an opportunity to fly with the new DX20. You'll be one of the first in the world to get your hands on one, let alone fly with it!

Besides the gimbles and looks, what advancements are there over a DX18 or DX9? It would be nice if Spektrum and Castle could combine forces and have intergraded telemetry between ESC/RX/TX or introduce a Spektrum line of ESC's with built in telemetry. No need to pay me for the tip

jk6672,
You do not need the TM1000 with the new 7 and 9 Channel AS3X receivers (AR7350 & AR9350). They have integrated Telemetry in them. A cost and space saving with the added benefit of AS3X stabilization.

Thanks. I've never used the AS3X, I did however preorder the new Spitfire BNF so will I get telemetry to my DX9?

jk6672,
DX6, DX7 Gen 2, DX8 Gen 2, DX9, DX18 Gen 2 and DX20 all have Telemetry functionally built in.

Oh thats too cool, I wonder if Castle will be selling this here at Nall. I could sure use one of these to squeeze a lil more flight time out of my packs with my DX9.

It is cool, but I hope the product receivers capable of this link without a gyro. I would like to have this option without all the clutter of TM1000 and no AS3X

jk6672,

You can turn off (inhibit) the AS3X on the AR7350 and AR9350.

AS3X adjustment from tx

You can turn AS3X completely off or put it on a switch with position A as off and position B as 100%, 75% gain, etc. A video on how to do this can be found here; https://youtu.be/JbHdlp0Cmmc?list=PL...Hhk3CWjErm-Rux

Every time I went by to try and "fly big at Joe Nall" the HH team was away from the tent and the individuals there did not know. I asked on two occasions how do you sign up to fly? and no one seemed to know. They asked me to come back. After the second trip i gave up trying.
