Apologies for stealing someone's answer but I was buying some of this the other day. It's Spiral Wrap. As a guide 1.5mm thickness covers wires of thickness 2~15mm roughly. I use very thin stuff and it will stretch quite a bit.

Did you notice poor GPS performance having it sitting on top of the dragon link rx?
I have a similar setup and I am fighting with GPS fix issues.

I solved my problem by switching vtx frequency from 1280 to 1360.

Very nice build. You've given me some ideas for my own Talon. What type of black paint did you use on the tails? The paint has a very nice matt finish to it, I think I'd like to use some too

I'm a newbie when it comes to long range (first build) so any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

I use Racewood 1.3ghz VRx and they do not require any filters. I think it's a good idea to use AS sensors if you're going to fly distance because you'll want to know if you're getting a headwind or tailwind. Important for managing flight time. i.e. Fly upwind on the way out, fly downwind on the way home.

You have the files of your wood stand? I really love them.
With these stands are easy to build a MT.
Actually bought that from Hobbyking some time ago. Here's the link.

I'm not sure where I got it, but I think it was Amazon. Here's a link.

None. The Rx antenna is behind the GPS. Full disclosure though, I moved out of Arizona so no longer have the desert and never took this plane for a long flight. My Twin Dream plane has the same setup and works great but the Rx antenna is farther back.

Pretty good. Takes a little while to get used to hand launching a fully loaded plane designed for efficiency, but it does fine.
