The smaller ESC's are used because the motors are so under-propped that the max current draw at full throttle is just under 8 amps. The 12A ESC weighs in at a good bit less than the 18A, and with the limited space in the nacelle, is a better choice all the way around.

I used CA glue on the wingtip tanks and they were prone to crack. To make a good seat on the wingtips, I wrapped the tips in thin plastic, sprayed some expanding foam in the tip tanks, and then held them on the wing tips with tape until all was set up. Then removed the plastic sheeting and just used canopy glue to attach tanks to wing.
