RunCam2 TicTac tilt case [DIY]

Hi all,

This is a homemade case to tilt my Runcam2 lens that I'm going to use for both FPV and DVR recording :

- Cut a small TicTac box
-Create the housing for the lens : go step by step and check the tilt angle at each step with a gauge. It is still possible to adjust a bit the lens angle (about 5) by sliding back and forth the PCB in the case.
- Fix the PCB to the main case with tape around
- Put again tape to fix the cover on the main box. ON/OFF button and WIFI button are still accessible through the soft cover !
- Battery can still be used if needed
- Use a 2~3mm thick hard foam (white depron here) and slide it below the lens to avoid the rotation of the lens
- You can build a protection cap (I used 2 layers of coca plastic bottle)

Inital weight (without battery) = 36g
Weight with TicTac case, 20 angled lens and protection cap = 25g

Now you have a 20 tilted lens and 11g saved

An additional point,
the metallic plate around the Micro SD card must be removed too (or glued), otherwise it is going unclip after a crash and will create short-circuit on PCB, believe me...

Thanks Marmouz for the informations about the metallic plate. I will glue it. If it's here, I think it's for RF protection and/or temperature dissipation.
I'm going to search for a tictac box now

I'm planning to install runcam v2 on my Aerotek P'tiot to replace my old keycam #808 (weight : 18g)
