No offense taken fellas! I have lurked a bit prior to posting so I do appreciate the rapport you all have going.

I am a bit gutted I didn't get my emergency landing on film. It was pretty majestic

I'll give the motor a go.

I do have an urge to build something else now...

Hey Scorchy, You'll love that motor, they are very cheap for what you get. I have one in my EFX racer turning an 8x8 prop on 3s pulling 53amps and it's very close to 100Mph... I have another in a MIG 3 turning a 9x6 on 3s, 1300mm wingspan. plenty of power. If you want 4s then prop it down to 8x4 or 7x6.
I have replaced the bearings( after lots of flights) and that cost me more than the motor originally... LOL..

I love the Taube! I like the first one, makes it look even more bird-like.

Having said that, if the second one is easier to build do that one!

Note to self: I must learn to use sketchup beyond making simple bits for 3d printing.

I am pretty sure they had an experimental v-tail version!

I think the second picture would work the best for stability

I agree, the big Dolphin tail might make for a twitchy elevator.

Very Nice Lockey!
Bipes always look great in the air or on ground. Your Staggerwing is fun to watch.

Because this one flies so nice, maybe I will have to go back and finish my Beechcraft Staggerwing .. which is how this one started in the beginning

I already have the drawings partly done .. this one is 1220mm (4ft) wing span

4 ft wingspan! That will be a nice size for a Bi Plane.
