I thought it was closed off, too - but ecstatic to know it is, as it should be. How sweet it is!

Looks good, and because worked with MiGs I gotta get one..

Nose looks a bit too small/thin ...? maybe pic angle does that?

And retracts arenīt with correct angles, but let it be..

Plane looks very scale. I've been helping a fellow rcg guy making molds for a 1/8 scale Mig 21 and I have to say this one looks great.
Pike it had good vertical , rolls like a high speed cobalt drill bit.....and what impressed me most was the AOA it held in the landing. John input in the proto type design is outstanding.he knows what we all like and how it should fly...and some how gets FW to get it right.

As much as I like FW products, 90mm (or perhaps twin 70-80mm) are as small as I wish to buy. Having numerous 6S 5000-5500-5800mah packs and a few 8S (4Sx2) I don't want anything that needs different batteries. Just going to 8S has cost me a small fortune for the FW F15 and YAK130.
If it was 90mm 6S or 8S I would put my name down for pre-order but 80mm is a bit small to carry +5000mah.

Im running Glacier 6000 30c packs in my FreeWing F-5 and i can only tell the slightest difference in landing speed. It handles the extra weight just fine and geta considerably longer flights. The Mig 21 will certainly handle 6000 packs with ease.

I think they should offer different versions : 80mm and 90mm and whatever it is.
My case is simply I do not have a truck , so anything that could not fit
in a mid size car is a no go . That is reality :-)

Thanks for the info AirJon.

It is tempting but I agree with flylow that having a choice would be best.

Alpha said he has run 6S 4000 and 5000, and there is enough room for 6000 packs.

As for the final paint, the pics here are of the p-type that Alpha painted himself, but he said he told Freewill this is how it should be finished. He also said we will most likely get a decal sheet with various liveries, including East German Air Force. I am very excited for this!

my words, that was the main reason i didn't get the F-86 and/or the A6, although i liked the models very much!
The ME-262 was the right size, going smaller i did not like.

Larger models are more enjoyable for me to fly. Small and fast may be exciting but I'm past that stage. Realistic looking speeds are better with larger models along with slower appearing landing speeds.

Maybe HSD will do a large 12S Mig!

I watched this jet fly yesterday also, and it looks as thought it flies on rails. And it did practically fly circles around Tony's F-86 (OK, not literally, but it was obviously faster). Very impressive jet, and it looks great in the air and on the ground. Low speed passes were impressive also.

Perhaps, those two fuel tanks or some kinds
Of gyros stabilized the flight ?
Just a guess ...
