Regulatory Line Up At The Small Unmanned Systems Business Exposition 2016

Hear it straight from the unmanned aircraft National Airspace System (NAS) integration super line up! We’ll hear from Micro UAS ARC industry co-chair Nancy Egan. The Micro ARC just wrapped up and made their recommendations to the FAA last week. We’ll get a timely firsthand account of what transpired and the recommendations made on our behalf. Hoot Gibson from the FAA’s Unmanned Systems Integration Office (UASIO) will be updating us on 107, purported to be release in springtime. Douglas Marshall will be updating us on the progress of the ASTM standards that will be part of the 107 rule. James Poss, representing ASSURE will explain the process for conducting the testing necessary to validate those ASTM F-38 standards.

We’ll also have a panel of seasoned experts explain the 333 processes and the nuisances of what the COA and 333 exemptions actually allow.

The FAA is under a great deal of pressure, and changes are happening fast. This may be your last opportunity to get an understanding of where we are at in the drone integration process, and still have time to contact your elected representation for a say in your unmanned aircraft future. Once all of these pieces start to come together, the community will have a difficult time trying to make changes to what is shaping up to be less than favorable regulations.

sUAS News has always taken a proactive approach towards informing and educating the community. Continuing with that philosophy, we are selling all remaining seats for the Small Unmanned Systems Business Exposition at cost (lunch not included) as a community service. In light of recent developments, we believe this action to be necessary for the benefit of the Global UA community.

We’ll see you in San Francisco, April 27-29 2016
