Ontario Electric Flight Expo

The Electric Flyers of Southern Ontario organised the OEFE for 14/15 Aug 2004 at York Airport, south of Hamilton. Keith Shaw of Ann Arbor Michigan was the Guest of Honor.

The York airfield is operated by a flying club - real planes. The field remained active during the RC event. The Flight Line was listening to Flight Control and all RC flying stopped as planes took off or entered the circuit. Except for one time when two planes decided to depart and I was considered a non threat (York23.jpg shows the two taxiing to the runway) .

As a treat, the Lancaster bomber from the Aviation Museum located at Hamilton International flew over and circled the field.

I have temporarily posted a series of aerials from this event at:

EZ-400G, shear webs, wing struts. It thermals with the camera on board ;-)
