Field Closed

Hi All TARMAC Members,

It is with a heavy heart that your TARMAC flying club committee has decided that we are to cease all flying activities at our Hodgson Vale flying field from midnight tonight Monday 30/3/2020 until further notice in view of and in compliance with Government directives and advice for Corona Virus Containment.

The lock to the gate will not be changed and maintenance and security activities will continue according to the roster and in accordance with the Government 2 person, social distancing and hygiene rules. A Sign will be displayed on the entrance gate and club house notifying all TARMAC Members and Visitors that flying is not allowed.

The committee will be reviewing the situation daily and as soon as it is safe to do so and in accordance with Government advice we will reopen our activities.

If any of our members is facing difficulty and are lacking support from family and friends then please contact me or other members of the committee and we will do what we can to assist.

We have a great club and we will get through this and fly again as soon as it is safe to do so.

We thank you all for your cooperation and support at this difficult time.

Wishing all our members and their families all the very best - stay well and safe.

Best Regards

George Fricker

Been asked at the field how the hobby room ended up after the fire, every thing is back to normal though it took time, I put a rack system up for the planes bought from Bunnings where the arms are adjustable about every 50mm, I put rubber pipe lagging on the arms for protection, all worked out good in the end
