Thread OP
I admit the guns are a little on the large side, but they are easier to glue, but they are on the right side, see toms post above. I had it out again on the weekend and I love it. I'm thinking bay be it needs a little more nose weight or some up thrust. then it comes in to land it hangs in the air with a little head wind. it has a little down elevator in it ATM, no real trim change as fuel goes down

seagull, phoenix and blackhorse are all related. I guess they share the planes and swap who sells it for X period of time. and do their own mods.

I meant the light green cover is on the dark green side etc

also give the model a coat of matt clear, makes it look better,
and I used the mg15 gun 1/7 scale from

Tower Hobbies is going to carry them in the US. You can place one on back order now, they are due in late May. I already placed mine. There is a thread that started as the Seagull ARF that has some info on the Phoenix ARF here https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=2527891 It's good you started a thread just for this kit.

I have the Blackhorse one and its a fantastic flyer running a G110 295kv on 8s 4000 (2x4) and 17x10 apc prop most of the time it only needs half throttle ..

I have setup Bomb drop and mrrcsound with 2 speakers in cowl... only wish is that they used the orginal tailwheel version and not the silly one now..

Flys like a big trainer but will bite u if u go too slow... ailerons aren't that effective so coupled with rudder...

PIcutures of the plane with Matt Clear on it.

the gun is a 3D 1/7 printed one from

I had the BH version also, sold it , wish I didn't. I agree about the tail wheel, wish it was the original.

Thanks

I have been looking at redoing the tailwheel and found this on another forum (rcuniverse Jimmy Bananas)
He used it on a ESM stuka which is around the same size..

also helps that Phoenix / BH put the orginal tailwheel plastic cover still in the box

parts where -
Dubro Semi-Scale 60-120 tailwheel System
Dubro Nose Gear block, and a Dubro 1-1/4" streering arm

so i'll get around to changing it someday ...

I used Hs-422BB servos for the flaps
Hs-485HB for Rud / Elev and Air..
and a small Hs-85BB for bomb.
