How did the maiden go?
25knts should have been fun.
I'm sitting at show grounds surrounded by cows. These farmers would get the shits if I flew a noisy power plane

Yeah great.
Smooth as at the look out[shoots out into wind easy]
Fly almost out of sight both ways and still get back--even off the nth end of ridge.
Landed on top sth end[less turblance there near the ground]
Hellish turblance above/rear of nth end to grass.
20-25kts slows it up pretty well for landing.

30g in the nose+850 2S battery[started with 15g--bit hairy on the pitch--not my thing]

Cows[Ah--brings back memories for you--LOL]
545g all up.

Cows bulls cows
There like a million top grade steaks here but these farmers won't let me have 1.
Excitement of the day, someone fell over in cow droppings.

Many more hours of boredom before I get home and open wing mould hopefully to a perfect wing.

Lower the controls on your servo horn as low as you can get it to increase your resolution, this will allow you to use much more servo travel for elevator , then it will fly smooth

Well after a fabulously boring day I made it home to a cow free zone.
Unbolted my clamps
A little tap with hammer and the bottom half of mould was off.
A gentle lift of the overflow around the edges then slide a wedge under 1 end of wing and out she came.
Not perfect yet but getting better.
Time to get some more cloth try a variation of layup I've been advise on.

Sailing tomorrow so plane building can wait till Monday.

Just to match the Buzz.

I can hear the slope calling me,
I can't remover my last flight must be almost a week ago bugger me, tomorrow wind direction predicted is better so flying will be first priority.
Did some finishing work today. Cut control surfaces and hinges. My half wipers are working full wipers will be months away. Need more parts to get the 3 wings I have turned into fished planes.
the Aussie flag is for me so need to find homes for the other 2.

Winds dropping off.

Back to Buzz flying.

I landed in 'That' bush at the lookout.....
so had to take a few green ants for the next fly--LOL

You can have those 2 servos and fg controls rods back from mine (that will get another one going)
I'am using Hitec 65MG servos.

Steve needs a new tail!

How hard is it to fly so close to full stall and stay in line with the moon.
great pic Ken.

Was a good afternoon on the slope. The wicked wing could climb higher but not a lot. Ken had a lighter RB, at 530g it would have matched the wicked wing if they were flying at the same time. Today's fly showed good data on what weight to look for in the RB. 600-650g will be good for a string plane in medium to heavy wind. If I can get down to 400-450g it will be sweet for light airs. Last will be picking a weight for a heavy air DS setup before ballast.
