Question

Which Prop For Spartan w/Upgraded Motor & ESC????

So I upgraded the Spartan to the Leopard Motor & 180 amp esc, so now I have to upgrade the shaft to 3/16" as well which means a new stinger also! So which prop will suit this upgrade best???? Maybe someone out there that has been there already can answer this question for me.

I think it's the 4082-1600KV but I'm not really sure, it was already in the boat when I bought it and it's in the waterjacket so I guess I need to take it out & find out.

You have a big esc, plenty of head room. I would start at around 45mm just to see where you're at.

That would be an ideal prop. Or the 215 Prather.

I'm not trying to sway you to CNC since they cost a little more, but I am getting great results in every boat I've ran cnc props on. Including the Spartan when I had it.

Those were exactly the two props that I was looking at and I really like the Prather 215 but the only problem is that I can't find it in stock anywhere already sharpened and balanced because I'm still new to the Hobby and I haven't learned how to sharpen or balance a prop yet.

CNC props might be a better option for you then. I am using the OSE cnc props with excellent results.

I'm pretty sure OSE has a 42 and 45 or something close in cnc.

Yea, they have this one in stock;

CNC Prop 45mm - 3/16" bore

CNC 4514 Magnalium 7075 propeller.

Is that the one you had in mind?

The 45mm prop should give a nice boost in speed.

You will need this also

I would still need that adapter even if I switch to a 3/16" stinger & 3/16" shaft????

Sorry, I forgot you mentioned you were upgrading. You won't need the adapter with the 3/16 shaft/stinger

I have no choice at this point, first time in the water after the motor & esc upgrade it snapped the stock shaft like it was a Candy Cane!! So I'll do it right this time and have a much faster boat on my hands. Thanks for all the help!!
