Power distribution board for 6.6 volt system.


I am looking to buy or make a power distribution board for a 30% scale internal combustion powered model.
The model will have two receivers and at least two LiFePO4 battery packs for redundancy. I most likely use Schottky diodes for isolation of the two battery packs. Some advice received is that this is not necessary for LiFe batteries, but not sure at this stage.
Hobbyking has some on offer, but I'm not sure they will do the job.

However, insufficient details are supplied, as usual for HobbyKing.
I don't much like the electronic switch (Mosfet) for all the supplied current.

Has anyone reading had experience with one or both of these?
Also, has anyone done a custom made board for this kind of job?

Simple solution - home made.


I've decided to use a simple self made set up to isolate both receiver/servo circuits. Actually, there will be three circuits in the plane that I'm building; one for the CDI on my current model build and one each for the two receivers. Each with its own LiFe battery pack.
I will use a simple insulated plastic box from JayCar here in Australia, for each circuit. The positive and negative leads to all servos will run from two tag strips fitted inside these boxes. Each independent circuit will have its own battery and will power one of these boxes. Servo signal wires will run from the respective receiver.
No diodes!
All three circuits completely isolated from each other. Simple and reliable.
