Question

HSD f-16 105mm or Freewing F-16 90mm?

Trying to decide which on to get. The HSD is about $200 more right now, not a huge difference but enough for me to consider the FW model.

I have a stock of 4S 4000 40c and 6S 4000 40C and I don't care to buy different lips, everything else I have fly on these.

I've seen both jets fly and the FW seems to have more authority than the 12s HSD model. However the size of the HSD model is much nicer.

Id love to hear some thoughts from people who have one or both.

If you look through both threads the HSD F-16 (which I have) has it's share of issues that need to be looked at before you fly, i.e. plastic root pieces on the wings and stabs. However, the FW F-16 seems to be good out of the box. (which I'd like to have).

Good luck,
Jim

I was tossing up between the FW and the HSD, chose the HSD based on size and the video that Pete from Banana Hobby did. The HSD F16 looked great in the video and it's nice to have something a little different (size wise)

The retract on HSD looks better and it comes with JP brakes, which looks nice, and works very well. Bullet plugs on the wings are another plus. No white paint on the TB scheme is bad, the pilot looks like a joke.

I'm sure the HSD doesn't come with brakes unless you pay more $$

Yep all of the HSD F16s come with brakes. I also had to add brakes to the freewing f16 that I had
