Thanks Rog, snow in Tassie this morn and up here just another hot sunny day, unreal for this time of the year. My fruit trees are in full bloom, grapes starting second crop, the last one only finished few month ago. It's all going bananas, that's why they call this "banana coast!" Mine are just about to harvest. More BS promises after last nights budget but just getting some lipos on charge for another beach flying day, my 1/2 is preparing the sweets. The wind here is all over the place but mainly South or North-Easter, always picks up after 11AM. Cheers.

Another variety for some fun off the beach on pretty windy day like today. It took off in no time but the X-wind landing was even more fun.

For a change took the prototype to the beach today with my safety officer but instead of watching my model she went swimming in the nudy to the pool.

Two latest spectacular catapult action off the beach sand in the windiest conditions this arvo, took only about 2 meters to rotate showing how effective this simple launching system is, enjoy.

Hi Rog, this would have been different paradise back in mid to late 1800's. This exact spot I'm flying the "Hawk" use to be the river entrance to this paradise valley with 1000+ year old giant "red cedar" trees, took only 2 or 3 decades to totally wipe them out! Tall ships and steamers came up with Sydney supplies and fully loaded with the huge logs sailing back to NSW timber markets. During 1864, the huge flood washed all the logs stored along the river banks and totally blocked the treacherous "S" bend entrance and river broke its way further south to the present mouth. Fascinating history, I'm currently searching for the painting subject featuring the overlooking pilot's house and the river entrance with few ships coming and going for the art show in Sept. There is no photo reference so my ex-artist lic. will have to do the job. When I climbed the overgrown ridge where the pilot house stood there is not a sign of the original river entrance which became just the end of a lake inlet running some 5 miles parallel the beach only couple hundred yards apart. Nature got its ways, Cheers.

Another swim day at the beach in middle of the freezing winters day, ocean is some 15deg warmer than wind chill factor, what a refreshment!
