Micro kill switch in great planes pt-40

my boy has built this plane and busted the connectors on the kill switch during building,,

question does anybody really use the way it was shipped or simply install a esc ??? looks like a 20 amp would be needed..

You could probably get rid of the fuse and switch, and just install an ESC to the motor, with plugs between the ESC and motor and ESC and battery. If you want, you can directly solder the ESC to motor, but check for proper rotation of the motor first. Deans connectors instead of the Tamiya ones shown would probably be a better choice.

As for the ESC, thats a 600 speed motor so I'd go for a 40 amp ESC or maybe a 50, but I'm not sure on that. My guess is that it would draw more than 20 amps.

Good choice on the PT40, it was my first trainer and I loved it!
